Our own personal favourite due
to the fact they have been a dedicated SKI specialist for many years is
:
I hope this info is of some use to you although I hope you NEVER need to use the facilities offered by these or any other insurance services. SAFE SKIING
Another option, although not purely a travel policy, when skiing in France is
the French Ski Federation ski insurance and club card, :

THE CARTE NEIGE This is not a travel policy but only an accident recovery card and medical assistance card coupled with a ski loss and damage policy . You can buy it in any of the French ski resorts at the lift pass office .A card for one week costs around £9, but it is possible to buy one for a year at the very modest cost of around £25. This is an excellent extra to your peace of mind and also gives you membership the the French Ski Federation. The benefits of which may or may not be of interest.
Many other large insurance companies offer these type of packages along with
many of the major banks. Quite often you can pay a fair bit less than the
price above but you have the added security of dealing with a travel
specialist with an extensive ski background.
OK, so we all know the dangers when we go skiing and to travel anywhere without insurance is pretty stupid. To go skiing without insurance is suicidal. I know we are probably preaching to the converted, but how many of you out there still pay tour operators prices for ski insurance ??????? These days there are a multitude of insurance companies offering single trip and annual policies for travel which include pretty comprehensive SKI POLICIES within them. On the annual policies you also get an allowance for 17 days skiing a year, enough for TWO skiing holidays. Cant be bad. Again, not trying to sell you a policy but just offering advice based on many years experience, we have put together a little guide of options.
